Elite 7 Active comes with memory foam tips for earbuds. This creates a secure and comfortable fit. Yet providing noise isolation by molding to the shape of the user’s ear canal.

Indeed, the in-ear earphones are a perfect fit for any ear size. The different sizes of ear gels ensure a secure and comfortable fit. These are very lightweight earbuds. This makes them comfortable to wear for extended periods of time.

I wore this pair of ear-sets for about 6 hours when I was traveling. But, I didn’t feel discomfort or fatigue.

The earbuds are also sweat and water-resistant. This makes them suitable for use in outdoor activities hitting the gym.

I enjoyed the plush ear tips for earbuds that got an excellent listening experience with a comfortable fit. This also blocks out external noise for improved audio quality.

5. How Does Jabra Elite 7 Active Deliver Sound?

I didn’t realize I would enjoy these earbuds so much. Most similar earbuds have neutral default sound profile. The Jabra Elite 7 Active default sound profile is also the same.

Indeed, there is extra thump and punch in the bass range. I tried the earphones with genres like EDM and hip-hop. They deliver very well.

There is also a very balanced reproduction of sound for different genres. The treble notes give an average feel over the midrange.

For most genres of music, the Jabra Elite 7 Active sound excellent. I am impressed with the five-band EQ in the Sound+ app. This allowed me to customize the frequency response to my exact preferences.

For a better understanding of the sound profile of the device, let’s break down it into 4 parts.

A. How Accurate is Mid?

My viewers and readers will be very happy! So I am because the Jabra Elite 7 Active delivers mid accuracy beyond my expectations.

The dip in the mid-mid that nudges instruments is clear and you can feel it. This leads vocals to the back of the mix but doesn’t affect the rest of the response. It’s very neutral.

I enjoyed the vocals and lead instruments that are clear and intense. But, one inconsistency I found is that there’s a dip in the mid-mid that affects the right driver more than the left. And this nudges vocals and instruments toward the back of the mix.

I felt a little too much when a peak from the high-mid to mid-treble makes some sounds more piercing or harsh.

B. How Accurate are Treble?

The Jabra Elite 7 Active earbuds have great treble. It’s precise and accurate. I realized very well the presence of instruments when I listened to instrumental genres.

These are very detailed and well-articulated. The mid-treble is slightly underemphasized. I am a little annoyed with it. But, sibilants like S and T sounds are not very bright and I also missed the cymbal sound.

C. How Accurate is Soundstage?

Like most in-ear headphones, the Jabra Elite 7 Active’s passive soundstage performs poorly. Their design doesn’t interact with the outer ear.

So, the sound appears to come from your head and not from the speakers in the room around you. And because it’s a closed design, the soundstage doesn’t feel as wide as most open earbuds.

D. How is the Bass Accuracy?

The Jabra Elite 7 Active earbuds deliver excellent bass precision. The whole range is a little overemphasized, adding a bit of vibration, pressure, and warmth.

The Jabra Elite 7 Active has excellent image processing performance. Group delay is below the hearing threshold across the entire range. This leads to tight bass and transparent highs.

There is a great match of both the drivers in terms of amplitude and frequency response. And this lets objects to be accurately positioned in the stereo image.

But, the phase response of the driver is mismatched in the midrange. I am a little unhappy with this.

Why?

Because this creates noise in the bud on the right side louder. It’s clearly more noticeable with normal content. I hope these results are unit specific and all units don’t have the same issue.

6. Jabra Elite 7 Active- Frequency Response

The Jabra Elite 7 Active earbuds are designed for sports and fitness enthusiasts. They feature a frequency response that is optimized for high-intensity activities.

The earbuds have a frequency range of 20Hz to 20kHz. That means they can produce a wide range of audio frequencies. This allows for a more dynamic and detailed listening experience.

I did enjoy clear highs, mids, and lows. The earbuds also feature a powerful bass that provides an immersive listening experience. Listening to music with a heavy bassline is a real joy.

Overall, the Jabra Elite 7 Active earbuds offer a well-balanced frequency response.  This is ideal for sports and fitness enthusiasts looking for high-quality audio.

7. Jabra Elite 7 Active- Noise Isolation and ANC review

I am pretty happy with the noise isolation and active noise cancellation (ANC) performance. Looking for effective noise isolation and active noise cancellation? These are great options.

The earbuds feature a snug, in-ear design that blocks out external noise. These are good to go in noisy environments such as airplanes, trains, or busy offices.

Talking of ANC, the Jabra Elite 7 Active earbuds use advanced algorithms. And this actively cancels out background noise. This gives music enthusiasts a quieter listening experience.

The earbuds also feature a “HearThrough” mode that allows users to hear their surroundings when necessary. Keep you alert when crossing a busy street or listening to announcements.

All that said turning on the ANC feature, doesn’t make an audible difference in how much ambient sound you hear. You may feel more pressure in your ear with noise canceling turned on.

I am very clear they isolate you from mid-range noise. This includes conversations, and higher-pitched sounds, like humming sounds from A/C units.

But, they do an average job to cut out bass-range noise like rumbling bus and plane engines. The Jabra Elite 7 Active delivers a great leakage performance.

I didn’t experience very much in the sound. So, you can crank up the volume without bothering people around you. This works even in a fairly quiet setting.

8. Jabra Elite 7 Active- Battery Life

The Jabra Elite 7 Active is a good pair of earbuds with good battery life. The company claims these earbuds have a battery life of up to 7 hours on a single charge. But, I did manage to play for over 6 hours. And that is enough for me for a day.

The Elite 7 Active also provides 21 hours of battery life with the charging case. This means that you can enjoy a full day of listening to music or taking calls without having to stop and recharge.

Additionally, the earbuds feature a quick charge function. This feature lets you to get an hour of battery life with just 15 minutes of charging.

Overall, the Jabra Elite 7 Active earbuds offer a convenient and reliable battery life. I am sure it will keep you connected and entertained throughout the day.

9. Control and Portability- Jabra Elite 7 Active

The Jabra Elite 7 Active earbuds deliver a high-quality audio experience and easy controls. The earbuds feature a touchpad on the outside of each earbud. It’s easy to control music, volume, and calls. The touchpad also allows for easy access to voice assistants.

The touch buttons are very smooth and responsive. I loved the functionalities. I could control my music, phone calls, and ANC mode. They are great controls.

All these good things said, I also found the controls are not the most intuitive at first. I heard voice prompts or audio feedback for many commands. You can remap most of the controls in the app.

The ‘Auto-Pause’ feature performs very well. You can pause your audio automatically when you take an earbud out.

At the same time, it’s little irritating as well.

Why?

Because double or triple-pressing the buttons puts pressure on your ears. The Jabra Elite 7 Active are very portable in-ear headset. These are at par with most other true wireless earbuds.

The company says these are smaller than other Jabra earbuds. Actually, these are not. They’re slightly bigger than Jabra Elite 7 Pro True Wireless.

All that said, they are still easy to fit into bags and pockets and carry around.

Overall, the Jabra Elite 7 Active earbuds are a great choice for a high-quality audio experience, easy controls, and portability.

10. Jabra Elite 7 Active Microphone and Call Quality Review

The Jabra Elite 7 Active are very popular earbuds. They have integrated microphone and deliver good call quality. The earbuds feature a four-microphone call technology. The in-built mic provides clear, noise-cancelling communication, even in loud environments.

Additionally, the earbuds have a unique wind-shielded microphone design. This is ideal to eliminate wind noise during outdoor use.

The earbuds also have an advanced audio codec that ensures crisp and clear audio for both music and calls. Its advanced noise reduction technology gives these earbuds a very good call experience.

I found that the Jabra Elite 7 Active earbuds are perfect for both personal and professional use. They provide clear communication in a variety of settings.

The mic has a decent recording quality. To get a better reality check, I recorded my friend’s speech. And the sound is clear and undistorted but lacks brightness and body.

The Jabra Elite 7 Active is a very good choice for working from home, traveling, and everyday use.

11. Jabra Elite 7 Active- Bluetooth Connectivity

The Jabra Elite 7 Active has fairly good Bluetooth connectivity. The earbuds use Bluetooth 5.0 technology, which allows for a faster and more stable connection.  It’s better than previous versions of Bluetooth.

I am pretty impressed with the smooth and fast connectivity to my device. I am happy to enjoy a seamless listening experience without any interruptions or dropouts.

The earbuds also have a range of up to 33 feet, so you can move around without losing the connection. This makes them perfect for activities like working out or running. In this case, I am not at all worried about my outdoor activities.

With smooth Bluetooth connectivity, the Jabra Elite 7 Active also features great noise-cancellation. This blocks out external noise to provide an immersive listening experience.

With these earbuds, you can enjoy distraction-free music, podcasts, or audiobooks. I am completely satisfied with Bluetooth connectivity.

Firmware update 2.2.0 gives an advantage of multi-device pairing. You can now connect to up to two devices at the same time.

But, on the downside, you’ll need to pause your audio from one device to receive your second device’s audio. It’s good to have low latency with Android and iOS devices. So, they’re more suitable for watching videos on your mobile device.

All that said, latency may vary depending on the devices. So, does your listening experience.
