If you frequently commute and find over-ear headphones are not very interesting because they are way bulkier, in-ear earphones and earbuds are a great portable option.

My job involves a lot of travel and love listening to slow music when on a long travel. These small devices are easy to carry around.

At the same time, some designs are more sports-focused. They are very good options for passive isolation from the outside world. That too without needing you to spend a huge sum.

There’s an element of getting what you pay for, but some budget options are still very good.

Another important feature that makes them equally good ear sets are the noise cancellation capacity. Therefore, you don’t need to break your savings for high-end over-ear noise-canceling headsets.

We saw a number of new launches in the past few months. Big names like Google Samsung, Bose, and Apple, all are in the foray.

They all came up with new launches of truly wireless earbuds. They invested heavily in their flagship models and also put a lot of energy into the project.

The aim is to target the high-end audio market with affordable earbuds. Yes, there is the heat of competition. But the market is flooded with quality in-ear earphones at affordable prices.

Before I came up with my article for my readers, I used and tested quite a few wireless earbuds. I personally used these earbuds for a couple of months and translated my experience into this piece.

Therefore, this list rounds up the 11 best wireless earbuds. They all have great features for every budget, great sound, and noise cancellation at an extremely affordable price.

Try the earphones that have been carefully curated for you.

These are the best earphones that are very carefully curated and picked after using them for weeks and months.

Let’s dive in and see how each of them comes out in overall performance.

1. Best Wireless Earbuds Under $200: Jabra Elite 7 Active

editor’s choice

Jabra Elite 7 Active True Wireless Earbuds have an integration of ShakeGrip technology that helps keep earbuds keep firmly in place. The earphones deliver excellent battery life of up to 38 hours with a charging case

Affiliate Links/ Images from Amazon

I have been using Jabra earbuds for quite some time now. These wireless earphones are very impressive for the delivery of overall performance.

I did use Jabra 75t as well as 65t for in my previous purchase and gifted them to my friend and sister. Both versions impressed me in terms of lasting comfort, overall audio quality, and adjustable HearThrough ANC.

As I open up the box of the Elite 7 series, I could see a significant improvement with the earbuds. Rising bar with a waterproof design, meet most of consumer expectation.

There is entirely improved geometry that delivers better audio reproduction than its predecessor, and a comfortable fit every time I put Elite 7 in my ears.

I am using these in-ear earphones since September, I am very happy that they are very good and ideal all-around earbuds.

I know these tiny devices have been around for a while, but the Jabra The Elite 7 series continues to be great value wireless earbuds.

To be honest with my readers or viewers, this series is one of my favorite models in this price range for performance and features.

You get great call quality, great audio performance, great battery life, and a very sleek design.

The Jabra Elite 7 Active series in my experience, is one of the best earbuds ever made in the audio segment and are available at affordable prices.

In addition to excellent call quality, they are perfect with dynamic sound customizable with the companion app, and an elegant design.

The battery life isn’t very good. A compact charging case that holds two spare charges is also useful on the go. They come in 7 color variants, Black, Mint, Gold Beige, Navy, Titanium Black, Copper Black, and grey.

You can pick your favorite color from the available color options.

Pros
  • Good sweat and water resistant feature
  • Easy to configure companion app
  • Good adjustable noise cancellation
  • Good quality
Cons
  • Average nose cancellation (ANC)
  • Doesn’t offer aptX codec
  • Should have been more comfortable

2. Best Wireless Earbuds Under $200: Beats Studio Buds

Best of overall

Beats wireless headphones and earphones are compatible with Apple and Android devices. They are IPX4-rated sweat and water resistant wireless earbuds. They deliver up to 24 hours of play time with charging case.

Affiliate Links/ Images from Amazon

The Beats Studio Buds are really a pleasure to own. I love these earbuds. With all features working almost flawlessly, these are one of the best in the earbuds market segment.

For some time, I used Apple AirPods. But these are then costly propositions. The Studio Buds have all qualities in the budget.  They fit very well in your ears, the sound quality is great, and the noise canceling is almost at par with high-end counterparts.

The in-ear earphones beautifully synced with my iPhone when I tried to pair them, and like all Apple products, it works beautifully. I found it very impressive.

Like all other products, Beats Studio also has certain lags. I really wanted these devices to have little better battery life. For me, it is a little below my expectations.

However, I am not saying the battery life is bad. The company claims the earbuds deliver a battery life of up to 24 hours with a charging case.

But in my case, I managed to continuously play for just over 17 hours per single charge. Not bad, huh… I know, I know you want more. Don’t you?

A little downside I could see with these earphones is custom settings and equalizer. I love these features because I keep on tweaking the pair.

I really felt these shortcomings and found these features clearly missing. Many times, you could find even cheaper earphones that have equalizers and customization options.

It’s very impressive to see Beats Studio Buds are compact earbuds with a portable charging case. Since Apple doesn’t have its H1/H2 chips in these headsets, they lack certain features like spatial audio for iPhone owners.

Since I cited the Apple AirPods example above, it’s also imperative to understand that the Beats Studio Buds are not as good as AirPods in noise cancellation. But clearly felt it cutting the low frequencies by around 30%. They proved great earbuds for me as a listener.

Studio Buds only support SBC and AAC Bluetooth codecs. It does not provide reliable high-quality codecs for Android smartphone owners.

With ANC turned on, the battery performance comes down heavily.

All in all, these are great in-earphones to buy at the price range. You must try them.

Pros
  • Compatible with iOS devices

  • Easy-to-use on-ear controls
  • Offer great bass good highs
  • Good active noise cancellation

Cons
  • USB-A adapter or wireless charging is missing

  • Doesn’t offer very good sound signature
  • Noise cancellation can be improved

3. Best Wireless Earbuds Under $200: Anker Soundcore Space A40

value for money

Space A40 has good noise cancelling system and blocks out a wider range of distracting noises. The earbuds deliver outstanding 50 hours of battery life with charging case
and produce sound with strong bass, clear mids, and bright treble.

Affiliate Links/ Images from Amazon

I didn’t buy these earphones, but colleague did a few months back. I got them from him in exchange of my Beats Studio Buds for using for a couple months.

These tiny devices reproduce impressive sound quality with reduced external noise. For testing purpose, I kept the volume level at around 50-60%. And they did well.

The Space A40 is equipped with great codec support AAC, LDAC, and SBC. The LDAC plays a very important role. It helps deliver high-resolution streaming possibilities on most modern Android devices.

The company claims the earbuds along with charging case gives you staggering 50 hours of battery life. I managed to play around 46 hours and earbuds alone deliver over 8 hours of play. That’s very impressive battery backup.

I do a lot of tinkering with EQ and adjustment with the sound. Anker’s companion app delivers one of the most reliable EQ and ANC experiences.

If you are looking for fully customise your listening experience, Space A40 model is the perfect fit for you. I did have excellent listening experience with it.

I used HearID to test if there is really any improvement in listening experience. It’s very impressive. I felt it intelligently creating personalised sound profile to tune into my ears.

The companion app and controls and settings performs very well. Moreover, the earbuds offer dual pairing feature. Many times, I got use this feature and I have no complaints about it as well.

One or two things I would love to have improved is sub-bass could have been a little louder. I also also felt the noise cancellation mode slightly affects sound signature.

Pros
  • Easy and responsive customisation

  • Very audio delivery
  • They deliver good battery life
  • Effective sweat and water resistant

Cons
  • Just an average bass delivery

  • Noise cancellation is good at the cost of sound signature

4. Best Wireless Earbuds Under $200:: Anker Soundcore Life P3

noise cancelling

Anker Soundcore Life P3 features 6 microphones with an AI algorithm that picks up your voice precisely and blocks out background noise. They provide an excellent battery back up to 50 hours with a charging case.

Affiliate Links/ Images from Amazon

Some brands have made their mark by beating the competition, and that’s what Anker’s strength is.

The company continues to look for ways to make its products not only more affordable but also more cost-effective.

The Soundcore Life P3 aims to grab you when you put it on. It offers performance that backs up the great features at par with more expensive wireless earbuds.

The price doesn’t vary as much as other Soundcore earbuds, but the starting price is definitely a bargain for what you get.

The earphones are available in different color variants; black, navy blue, oat white, coral red, and sky blue.

After using for a few days, I would say the Anker SoundCore Life P3 Truly Wireless is the next generation  Anker SoundCore Life P2 Truly Wireless.

It’s more comfortable to wear than its predecessor and has some new features like Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) and compatibility with the Anker Soundcore app.

The app allows you to switch between ANC, ambient, and normal modes and even set ANC to indoor, outdoor, or transport modes.

It has a deep bass sound profile and you can even customize the sound with the in-app graphic EQ and presets.

I even did go out with these earbuds in my ear and found the Anker Life P3 is perfect for commuting and traveling.

Thanks to the adjustable ANC function, you can block out high-frequency noise such as the roar of bus or airplane engines or other passengers chattering.

A comfortable fit for long trips on the go and a portable design that fits easily in your pocket. It only lasts a little over 5 hours with ANC on.

Anker Life P3 is perfect for sports and fitness. They fit securely in your ears and won’t fall out during your workout.

In addition, they’re comfortable and breathable, so you don’t have to sweat more than usual while wearing them.

One thing that might let down users is the touch-sensitive controls.

They are easy to use while exercising, the limited control may need you to use your phone to adjust the volume or change the previous track.

But again, the companion app is very handy and lets you remap the controls to your liking.

Pros
  • Delivery good audio quality

  • Excellent bass and mic quality
  • Good and comfortable fit in the ear
  • Compatible with wireless charging

Cons
  • Average battery life

  • Not meant for signature sound enthusiasts
  • Average touch control

5. Best Wireless Earbuds Under $200: OnePlus Nord Buds 2

Excellent audio drivers

OnePlus Nord Buds 2 are equipped with 12.4mm Titanium Audio Drivers to deliver deeper bass and crisper, clearer sound. They have a fast charge feature with 30 hours of battery life with a charging case. They are IP55 rated earbuds to provide sweat and water-resistant.

Affiliate Links/ Images from Amazon

The OnePlus Nord Buds 2 earbuds are excellent addition to the company’s audio and smartphone market segment.

The tiny earphones have a unique design and surprisingly good sound quality for the price, and their best feature an affordable.

If you are really looking for great true wireless earphones without breaking the bank, this is one of the best options. It might just be hard to imagine a better deal than the OnePlus Nord Buds.

There is no doubt that the OnePlus Buds Z2 is clearly the successor to the OnePlus Buds Z. However, in my own experience, OnePlus Nord Buds are better suited for a better listening experience.

I am very impressed with the features like fast charging and Dolby Atmos support. But I feel the core experience is more focused on delivering great sound quality and at the given price point.

I do believe OnePlus is right on point at an affordable price. The Buds’ large drivers perform excellently to deliver impressive volume.

I purposely kept the volume at around 50% to how they do deliver immersive sound. Surprisingly, these earbuds provide a loud and immersive listening experience.

The ear tips fit very in the ear canal and help keep the surrounding sound away. Therefore, delivers excellent noise isolation.

The punch and drive do have excellent performance delivery, especially at the beginning of an impressively atmospheric track.

I did not push too hard, thanks to careful tuning that enhances what the Buds Z has to offer. Listening to Wherever You Go by The Avalanches, the vocals, and mellow elements sounded clean and soothing.

But more importantly, it was the deep bass of the beat in the middle of the track that caught my attention most of all. When it comes to details, I felt it was falling a little short on this.

I am completely impressed with the perfectly pleasant sound that is easy to hear at low volumes, but I missed some insights and cohesion as the Oppo Enco Air 2 Pro.

Overall, OnePlus Nord Buds 2 True Wireless Earbuds deliver well-balanced performance

Pros
  • Smooth and fast pairing

  • Good and comfortable fit
  • Dolby Atmos support
  • IP55 Rating water resistant

Cons
  • Main microphone doesn’t have smooth connectivity

  • Doesn’t offer effective Active Noise Cancellation

6. Best Wireless Earbuds Under $200:: Anker Soundcore Life A1

best affordable

Soundcore Life A1 true wireless earbuds provide 35 hours of play time. Its quick 10-minute charge gives 1.5 hours of listening. It comes with an Anker USB-C cable to charge the case quickly
The earbuds are equipped with 8mm drivers with triple-layer composite diaphragms.

Affiliate Links/ Images from Amazon

Before actually using I was very apprehensive about the performance of these budget earbuds. But all it delivers is an impressive performance for the price.

I am not an audiophile, and the Anker Soundcore Life A1 has a lot for all looking for good earphones without burning pockets.

The earbuds promise a lot, including an IPX7 rating, wireless charging, and full mono listening. They are the perfect fit for routine listening with heavy bass that can withstand your workout.

Still, it has its drawbacks and is certainly not the best option in the Anker Soundcore family. In the box you will find 5 sizes of silicone ear tips and 3 sizes of wings to fit different ear sizes.

The ear tips don’t look very fancy, but the ear wings fit snugly. These wings will hold in place if you are an outdoor activity enthusiast and put the A1 on.

The IPX7-rated Soundcore Life A1 earbuds can withstand sweat, water, and dust. I tried these tiny devices in light showers also, and they did well to resist water.

The all-plastic buds combine glossy black elements with very textured black elements, with the exception of the metal that covers the drivers, and the matte case is also plastic.

I can hear smooth jazz, pop, and metal all without a problem, and I’m happy with the bass performance.

However, I am a little discontent with the bass because I wanted more with it. A few lags I felt are with the high frequencies of Anker Soundcore Life A1.

First, I didn’t like the unwanted peak at 8kHz, giving it a sense of transparency. Luckily, it doesn’t make a hissing sound.

For some reason, frequencies between 8 kHz and 16 kHz drop to neutral. As a result, the larger 8 kHz frequency masks them. This makes some songs look a little dark and unresolved.

I also noticed there is a lack of air around the less transparent instruments and vocals.

Overall, Anker Soundcore Life A1 is one the best earbuds in the list of top 11 earphones you can buy now.

Pros
  • Easy and smooth control mechanism

  • Good wireless connectivity
  • Good delivery of audio quality
  • Good battery life

Cons
  • Inconsistent audio delivery when tuned with videos

  • Doesn’t have effective passive noise cancellation

7. Best Wireless Earbuds Under $200: JBL Tune 125

most comfortable

The JBL Tune 125TWS earbuds feature dual connectivity. They have 32 hours of battery back up on a single charge. Don’t deliver good sound and call performance if ear tips don’t match ear size. Earbuds come with 3 sizes of ear tips to fit different ear sizes ad snug-fit.

Affiliate Links/ Images from Amazon

Unboxing the JBL Tune 125TWS clearly shows these earbuds are designed and developed with an aim to target a younger audience. They feature a V-shaped sound signature that is a bass version of the Harman curve.

Outstanding! What makes me feel very is the JBL Tune 125TWS delivers boosted bass and treble and balanced midrange.

The design doesn’t look very conventional. But I like the wireless earbuds because they are comfortable and safe.

However, I find it a little annoying that it has average functionality and a heavy and bulky charging case. Also, I didn’t like the annoying physical controls that push the earbuds deep into the ears.

The simplicity speaks very well of the JBL Tune 125TWS Truly Wireless headphones. They have a balanced sound profile, and decent passive noise isolation. Apart, they have a compact, lightweight design that’s easy to carry.

On the downside, I found they lack sound customization features and have very limited control functionalities.

They also have very high wireless latency on PCs and Android and iOS devices. But, if you’re looking for true wireless earphones that allow you to listen to most types of audio content, they’re one of the best options.

Interestingly, the JBL Tune 125TWS shares a similar sound signature to many other JBL headphones. They call it the “JBL Pure Bass Sound”.

As I talked about at the beginning, you can expect punchy bass and very typical 8-9kHz peaks. Bass below 200 Hz is boosted to moderate levels.

As a result, it flows into the midrange. Luckily, the earbuds don’t allow the boom and offer decent control.

I love the reproduction of warmth in songs without overpowering detail. From 2kHz to 7kHz the response decays slowly and forms a large peak at 9kHz.

For some reason, this is the typical treble tuning of many consumer earbuds. It creates transparency but makes everything else very thin.

All in all, these are very wireless earbuds for the budget.

Pros
  • Very good passive noise cancellation

  • Good and balanced bas
  • Good battery life
  • Comfortable and good fit

Cons
  • Inconsistent volume control

  • Doesn’t offer water resistant
  • No effective latency

8. Best Wireless Earbuds Under $200: Google Pixel Buds A-Series

Very good for calling

Pixel Buds A-Series have custom-designed 12 mm dynamic speaker drivers. The Buds A-Series deliver 24 hours of battery life. They are equipped with beamforming mics to help make your calls crystal clear, even in noisy conditions.

Affiliate Links/ Images from Amazon

These are not very old in the audio market segment. I got the Google Pixel Buds A-Series Wireless Earbuds from my nephew to use for a couple of months.

These earbuds are lightweight, comfortable, and worked seamlessly with my Android device. The IPX4 rating makes them a great option for those who love to use them when taking up outdoor activities in humid conditions. And the mic quality is good for calls.

I understand the Apple AirPods are not the first true wireless headphones, but they defined the category and are popular all over the world.

However, one thing is clear to Apple from the start. AirPods are designed to work with Apple devices and require special pairing with iOS devices to unlock full functionality. What do Android users do?

While there are many true wireless headsets that offer similar functionality and customization via Android apps, the Apple AirPods are amiss.

The Google Pixel Buds A series are hilarious in their execution, from Tamagotchi-esque charging cases to lightweight earbuds with wings that look similar to insect antennae.

They are opaque and have a G on the body where the touch controls are located. Dark Olive is another color variation.

While most true wireless headsets focus on the music listening experience, the Google Pixel Buds A series promise a more immersive experience.

I am extremely interested in adding smart connectivity to the headphones and see them delivering the experience that smart speakers like Google Nest Audio offer.

I am pretty much content, the headphones sound decent, with a reasonably balanced sound signature that boosts the mids and highs a bit.

As long as the paired smartphone has a good internet connection, it actually works just like a smart speaker.

Google seems to have produced it keeping the Assistant in mind. The speakerphone works well, the headphones reasonably accept the wake words “OK Google” and “Hey Google”.

Interestingly they also understand voice commands even in average noisy environments.

The Google Pixel Buds A series are must try earbuds.

Pros
  • Very good delivery of sound

  • Very light and comfortable
  • Smooth control functionality
  • IPX4 rated water resistant

Cons
  • Less effective bass quality

  • Wireless charger wanted

9. Best Wireless Earbuds Under $200: OnePlus Buds Pro

Good noise reduction

OnePlus Buds Pro is equipped with 11mm dynamic to driver powerful bass. It provides 38 hours of battery life including charging case. The earbuds automatically adopt to ambient sound and deliver good noise reduction.

The OnePlus Buds Pro Wireless Earbuds are the latest addition to an audio segment of OnePlus.

If correctly remember they launched not much ago. And my brother gave it to me for use and testing used the OnePlus Buds Pro wireless earbuds for 3 months before coming up with this guide.

The OnePlus Buds Pro ticks a lot of the right boxes but lacks some key features found in other truly wireless earbuds, especially the ability to customize the sound.

I expected the in-ear earphones would stand out from the crowd. It doesn’t really stand out, but it has all the features enough to meet most of the consumer needs.

If you follow OnePlus and are looking for true wireless earbuds, you’ll definitely enjoy the OnePlus Buds Pro.

I am impressed with the feature, titled Zen Mode Air, which downloads ambient sounds and white noise to the earbuds.

These tones can be activated at any time using the earbud controls, even if the earbuds are not connected to your device.

I see a little lag that Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) is relatively weak on the OnePlus Buds Pro. The intelligent noise-canceling mode doesn’t help much.

Mostly, I tuned in using the “Maximum Noise Cancellation” setting. When I enabled the maximum setting, there was a visibly slight reduction in ambient noise.

These noises are present between 100 and 1000 Hz, and the OnePlus Buds Pro reduces the volume by 25% up to this frequency range.

Passive isolation from silicon earbuds doesn’t quite match up with their counterparts. Even if the fit is good, it just blocks out high-frequency noise.

Still, I would recommend OnePlus Buds Pro Wireless Earbuds for the price.

Pros
  • Comfortable and snug fit

  • Very good delivery of ANC
  • Good battery life
  • Great details in audio delivery

Cons
  • Good fast pair is missing

  • LHDC codec doesn’t deliver quite well
  • Hinge design doesn’t look impassive

So, how do the LG Tone Free FP5 True Wireless Earbuds sound?

Yes, you got it right! The LG Tone Free FP5 are affordable true wireless earbuds with very good sound quality.

I used other brands for a long time, but to be frank this is my stint with LG earbuds. Despite my initial apprehensions, I am fully satisfied with the performance they deliver.

These earbuds have great full range, full and punchy bass, solid mids, and slightly muted highs. But, I don’t find these are the major issues, you can set the EQ to smooth them out.

I did quite a bit of customization with the EQ which gave me the best choices to start with. I like the immersive and 3D soundstage. It’s very stable because it also helps compensate for the relatively little noise cancellation.

I used these earbuds with audiobooks and podcasts to check how they come up with the audio delivery for these. And, I could clearly feel the sound like they’re in a barrel or in front of a reverb plate.

These in-ear earphones are good for rock. But I couldn’t find them very exciting bad for my voice. Although they don’t come with a quick charger, charging is quite fast.

The company claims the LG Tone Free FP5 provides 22 hours of battery life with a charging case on a single charge. I managed to get 6 hours of play time with earbuds and over a5 hours of battery backup with a charging case.

I use these earbuds mainly for listening to music and calling. Therefore, if you are looking for an affordable pair of earbuds with an average voice and mostly for listening, these are good options.

I feel if something pulls these earphones down from getting full mark, it’s the average noise cancellation capacity.

To be honest with you, this didn’t disappoint me because I only use ANC with headphones. The touch functionality is well conceived and works at par with other counterparts and customization is minimal.

Therefore, they are more or less similar to the Pixel Bud A series. This way, you can’t turn the volume up or down but instead have to tap your left and right ears by default.

Overall, the LG Tone Free FP5 are budget-friendly wireless earbuds with good features. These are the good options to go with in my list of top 11 earphones you can buy now.

Pros
  • Delivers on active noise cancellation

  • Good microphone quality
  • IPX4 rated water resistant
  • Good bass delivery

Cons
  • Wireless charging would been good feature

  • Doesn’t have AAC codec

When unboxing at the first time, Sony WF-C500 wireless earbuds don’t look very impressive. But they are one of the best wireless earbuds beyond any doubts in this price range.

Although I missed the deep profile sound reproduced by the Sony WF-1000XM4, the music produced by Sony the WF-C500 was full of punch.

For bass enthusiasts, they have strong bass, tight highs, and very good mids. If you want to fine-tune your sound, use the equalizer feature in the Sony Headphones Connect app.

The app lets you manually adjust frequencies or choose from nine presets that prioritize different elements of sound depending on the music genre or content.

The WF-C500 isn’t perfect, but the jerky controls are somewhat inconvenient when trying to boot up, and the charging case has decent capacity. Remember, this is a budget model that should not be overlooked.

I used Bose QuietComfort, Samsung Buds+, and Jabra Elite 7 Pro for quite some time. They let me experience a more balanced sound profile.

In my experience, the Sony C500 delivers more or less similar performance. I like the base as it is accurate, neither flashy nor overwhelming.

According to the company the WF-C500the delivers battery backup of 20 hours per single charge and earbuds give you 10 hours of battery life.

I managed to have a playtime of 8 hours with earbuds and a battery backup of over 17 hours with a charging case.

Noticeably if the battery goes down to 50% or more, an alarm will sound and earbuds will go off before the battery runs out.

I could hear the same alerts in a single earpiece even when listening in mono mode. This is a little annoying experience.

The Sony WF-C500 doesn’t have below average Active Noise Cancellation. Therefore, you need to find a good fit to block out reasonable noise.

If you are looking for good wireless earbuds coming from a renowned brand in the audio market segment, Sony WF-C500 earbuds are a good fit in your pocket.

Pros
  • Comfortable and good fit

  • Easy and smooth customization
  • Good delivery of audio

Cons
  • There is no transparency mode

  • Inconsistent connectivity
  • Buttons should have been more smooth
